Interstar

Interstar is an Orisian company, which produces most series of Orisian power armor and support vehicles. Founded by Seghill Warmbacher in the year 150 PTE (by Cyran reckoning), Interstar pirated ideas and designs from multiple independent Orisian mercenary contractors. With the advent of Interstar's light Aero armor, Warmbacher and company were rocketed into the Oris big leagues. Their fortune grew to enormous mass in the year 1998, when Seghill finally controlled or owned ALL Orisian armor blueprints.

Interstar has supplied the Orisians with armor and vehicles for many decades, and shows no signs of letting go on their contracts to supply the Orisian military until after the Orisians have conquered the galaxy. (And that's a lotta weapons!)

Xyrum Genetics

pron: "SIR-um Genetics" This is a corporation quickly attaining "black-hole" power in the Orisian empire. They are the next generation of Orisian weapons specializing in Biological Defense Mechanisms (BDM). Or more simply...genetic rengeneering. Xyrum Genetics markets genetic enhansements, geneticly engeneered subjects, and engeneers biological warefare elements. This all ranges from super-soldiers, labor-clones and cattle, to espionage, assassination vectors, long range contagion, and delayed reation diseases.

So popular in fact, that the Orisian government might move from Interstar to Xyrum Genetics as a primary weapons provider. Since most of the worlds the Orisians have been conquering have had little to no technological advantage, using highly technological troops to conquer them is overly costly, when using cheaper soldier might be more effiecient.

Xyrum Genetics has a history of spoiled projects, though. While researching techniques of producing super©soldiers, they have had "sentience accidents", where subjects become sentient and then quickly gain enough intelligence to overcome their security and escape. This has only happened in two cases, though. One was a powerful psychic that hated the cause of Xyrum Genetics and almost destroyed it in its formative years, and the other was a prototype Reptile Assassin, notoriously known as "Mr. Smiley", who gained sentience and easily fought his way out of the compound to freedom.Security has never been better since then, officials of Xyrum Genetics claim.

Xyrum Genetics has had a sordid past. First started from the owners of a neutral world company named Azcore, which made biomechaniods (humans powerfully mutated into living factory machines) that was later destroyed by the Triconians when they "recruited" a member of the Sterling family. Since then, they have moved to Orisian space and have been trying their hardest to impress the senators they have the best defense for the Empire.
