Cyran Family Corporations

The Cyran Empire's major commercial aspects are directly controlled by the holding of the most powerful houses in the emire. The only thing that keeps these Cyran companies from expanding is the tightly intertwined politics the families have arranged to keep each other from getting too powerful.

With new trading agreements with the Triconians, and especially the Blackthorn Enterprises catching up quickly, the Cyrans are on the verge of explosive expansion.

The Reynolds house is the economically most powerful of all the Cyran ruling families. They produce the basis of the Cyran space fleet, along with the maintenence of the genetic engineering field in this part of the sector. Comprised of hundreds of companies, here are the two most powerful ones: Xaxstal Intergalactic, the producers of the most space ships in the galaxy besides the Orisians. They have a line that ranges from the cheapest to the best, and they've sold thousands of both. Offices and factories all across Cyran space, and even on Neutral worlds like WD40. CyMountain Geneticists, the corporate mainainers of the nessissary genetic maintenence of not only the Cygenome, but a major medical supplier of vaccines and innoculants even to the Orisians, through neutral worlds.
The Hawk house is the most aristocratic of all the houses...if there's royalty to be seen, then it's here. They own the most banks, hotels, and private﹚eath interprises in the sector. Granite Banking Systems, owned by the human Richard Veiss, is the largest banking conglomerate anyone knows. They don't own everything...yet. The checks and balances system that the Cyran families have evolved keeps them from buying everything.
The Royal Hawk Legion. Almost enough said with that name right there. This is the most prestigous paramilitary in the sector, owned and lead by Ragna Starhawk, a century and a half old cyborg. She is fierce and fiercely a Hawk who is steeped into the pride of the Hawk house. She's been known to use her legions to extract payment out of whole worlds that have offended the Hawk house. Ragna has been tamed somewhat by age, encroaching insanity, and her new dependency upon politics to keep her legions funded.
The Sterling house is the lowest of the three top houses, mostly because of historical squabbles brought on by the genes inherited from the progenetors of the family. Mostly too much exploration and hot headed action has kept this family thinned down. They are the most conservative family, and own the most conservative buisinesses, so have stayed small but secure. If there is some sort of economic tragedy, the Sterlings probably won't be affected.Revallarana is the most renound Sterling enterprise, known for intrepid exploration, innovation, and negotiation facilities. They are a contractor of sorts, that draws on all the other Sterling house companies to solve the rest of the Cyran's pressing problems. This company is renound for its credibility and its neutrality in dealing with sensitive political topics. This doesn't stop them from making a healthy profit, though.
The Forensian house is the most business and research oriented...almost more so than the Reynolds house. Where the Reynolds spend a lot of time play political games, the Forensians just sit back at Forest Hall and make the nifty toys. They stock the Cyrans with the two products any nation needs most of: weapons and medical equipment. How convienient.
Black Adder, a huge manufacturer of weapons can serve your every whim of personal attribute cybernation. Not only hand weapons, but customized power armors, cyberlinks and intelligent defense systems to maintain your edge in battle. If you have the money, they have the weapons you want. (Credit accounts available). The only competition they look forward to is Blackthorn, who is has not gotten that far across the sector yet. Blackthorn has no hope to cut into the Cyran's Black Adder demand.
White Cross Intergalactic Medical Solutions is the leader in first aid and hostpital supply on Cyran and neutral worlds. No one compares to their flawless products, and prompt, personalized delivery systems. There have been very, very rare occasions for a White Cross shipment to ever be late to a customer, and definitely none recently. Thier only competition is in the most remote neutral worlds twards Blackthorn, a company called Galactic Jonston and Jonston.(GJ&J was the company who suffered the theft of a shipment of bandages later redistributed with a powerful hallucenogen called PsychoFlex. Over 100,000 bandages, infact.)
The Mojavi house is not very influencial economically, especially since they have no tight economic web. But their companies are found on every single Cyran, and most neutral world planets without fail.
The D'vorre house is respectable and large, but not an omnivorous money hungry giant with monopolistic aims. Notably, on Baxster andCyrus's Star, they have the most companies in business. D'vorrian companies are notorious for their faith to the D'vorre house, and its accociated politics. They are mostly influencial in the fact that they have made themselves most notorious for a) black market and crime related industries, and the funding of many small mafias, and b) the funding and creation the majority of police stations and public utilities in the Cyran subsectors. Many economics analysts have realized that if the Cyrans are to proceed further in the galaxy, they must shake this crime shackle which has started to mire thier economic flexibility.
Maximillian Schwartzbaum, a Cyran of many notorious deeds in the neutral worlds, owns to the whopping amount of ten trillion credits of assets in companies and investments on every single planet in Cyran space, and on dozens of neutral worlds. Apparently his fingers have crept all the way over the sector into the Blackthorn areas as well. His fingers are just about in every pie, as it were.
