No neutral companies, besides Trident, have flourshed well enough to be noticed across the sector yet. Instead, there is the most noted of neutral worlds, WD40...an backwater cybernated industrial-strength scrubbie of a planet which has been flooded with so many illegal, unregistered and black-market industries that it's as famous as anywhere in the sector. Where the an average number of companies per planet might be 1 million, there are nearly uncountable factories and markets on this planet. In fact, the pollution and land area of the world is unsuitable for biological sustinence...no plants grow there. None of the food is fresh, and there is no law but your own gun.
Myth, a feral Cyran refugee from deep within the Cyran Empire, crashed on Alpha Virginis II just as Blackthorn was securing the cities on the planet. He is credited with finding the first intact Markham Gillian factory (and only) on the planet. Trident supplies MG hand weapons, armors, spaceships, andriods, cybernations, trained troops and military advisors, and just about anything else that you could ask for. The appeal of the Trident company is that they consider themselves neutral, so will sell cheaply to anyone, which appeals to neutral worlds and crime organizations that are leary of dealing with the Blackthorn Enterprise.
