Cyran War Technology

The Cyran Nationalists to date (2055 AD) have three distinct brands of power armor in use. These are the Shrapnel armor, the Royal armor, and the Olympus armor. Descriptions of all three are as follows:

Shrapnel series power armor
- Dimensions: 8' tall, 3' wide at shoulders
- Top running speed: 55mph
- Flight speed: 278 mph w/ rocket pack
- Weaponry:
  - plasma streamer (linked to antimatter cell, infinite payload)
  - -shoulder-mounted detachable vibroblades
  - -arm-mounted vibrotrimmer
- Power supply: antimatter 6 cell (running life 8 years)
- The Shrapnel armor is used primarily for antipersonnel purposes, since it is crawling with vibroblades and carries no internal missiles. The armor is deceptively strong for its size: its original engineers built in a sort of antimatter adrenaline system, with the idea of providing overly powerful bursts of energy to its macromusculature and plasma streamer. The plating is capable of resisting most conventional and armor-piercing rounds; underneath the solid plates is a high strength polymer mesh that can usually stop any round that pierces the plating.
  Energy weapons such as particle beam guns and Mortilizers are an enemy's best bet to knock through a Shrapnel's protection. Shrapnels are most commonly deployed as security for high risk Cyran operations, and as shock troops against unmechanized opponents. The most significant drawback to the armor is its lack of explosive armament, but a Shrapnel can usually depend on its larger brethren to provide that kind of support. The Shrapnel armor is not modular in design, unlike the Cavalier power armor; this means that Shrapnels have no kind of vehicles or larger mechs to interact with.
Royal series assault armor
- Dimensions:10'5'' tall, 4' wide at shoulders

- weaponry:
  - two arm-mounted mini-missile launchers (payload of 20 minimissiles each. Normal ordnance: Armor-piercing and high-explosive.
  - -two head-mounted plasma streamers (linked to antimatter system)
  - -one Mortilizer rifle (also linked to AM)
  - -two sidearms of operator's choice
- power supply: 5-year 10-cell AM plant
- The Royal assault armor, despite its name, is not restricted to Cyran nobility. It's deployed even more widely than the Shrapnel series, no doubt because of its greater destructive force. The Royal armor is incapable of flight and has a low ground speed, but its over-engineered armor plating and radiation shielding compensate well. This armor is often seen working in platoons against large enemy vehicles or commanding a number of Shrapnels. The Royal, while somewhat dated, is the mainstay of the Cyran'ationalists' power armor force. One additional feature that other series lack is an antimatter overload option. When in dire peril, the operator can open up his antimatter batteries and spray anti-energy through several hose-like ports on the exterior of the armor. This leaves the juice levels on the armor helplessly depleted, but it can clear a field pretty quickly.
Olympus series assault mecha
- Dimensions: 23' tall
- top running speed: 55 mph
- weaponry:
  - one medium range missile launcher (payload of 10 missiles),
  - right arm-mounted
  - -one modular weapon arm capable of supporting mortilizer-size armament, or heavy construction tool attachments.
  - -two shoulder-mounted mini-missile launchers (payload of 40 shots each)
  - -two hip-mounted minimissile launchers (payload of 18 shots each)
  - -two leg-mounted mini-missile launchers (payload of 32 shots each)
  - -two chest-mounted swiveling double-barreled neuron blasters
  - -plus two sets of vibroclaws on each weapon arm.

- What can I say about this? The Olympus assault armor is the Cyran'ationalist equivalent to a Panzer division. One of these mechanized giants carries enough ordnance to level a 20th-century metropolis. The armor is tall enough to step on most power armors in its way, and heavy enough to leave cracked depressions in reinforced concrete. Like its little brother the Shrapnel, the Olympus is equipped with an "adrenaline gland" that allows it to channel immense force through its macromuscles. However, using this option sorely abuses the antimatter synapses, and will result in shutdown after ten supercharges. But the sight of an Olympus putting its arm through a battleship's hull is usually so disheartening to enemies that it can be worthwhile in maintenance costs.
